A reconstructed prehistoric furnace
At Ancient Arts we provide a range of services based around years of experience in reconstructional/experimental archaeology & personal development studies.

Events

Our Events are designed to allow people to see, handle & 'have a go at' prehistoric skills. Giving them a real, alive sense of their past.

The Events also include demonstrations of skills and technologies from the prehistoric through to medieval periods such as prehistoric bronze casting (click on here for more information).

We have a 'hands on' artefact and reconstructed tools collection which we encourage people to handle and use & trained staff to chat about the artefacts and answer any questions.

We also have a series of specially designed activities, which allow the public to have a go at prehistoric skills such as making and decorating prehistoric pots (click on Activities for further details). The activities and length of the workshops can be arranged to suit the needs of the individual client.

Learning from the past
Projects
We undertake projects in experimental & reconstructional archaeology. This work includes designing prehistoric buildings for museums or heritage sites. We have recently designed a prehistoric village in North Wales which is to be used as an open air museum and resource centre. Reconstructed artefacts & replicas

We can provide replica prehistoric artefacts and reconstructed prehistoric tools for museums and universities to form part of their teaching collections.

Our reconstructed artefacts & tools have also been used in museum interpretation displays. In 2005 we produced items for New Permanent Gallery of Oriel Ynys Mon.

We are happy to make stone, bronze, iron or composite reconstructions. They can be made from scaled drawings or photographs. Please use click here for more information of use our Artefact icon.
